It would eventually break if enough damage was dealt. I think now it automatically breaks you on AoE but unlike live, doesn't break you from a DoT that was pre-applied and did enough damage.

When you don't know how to prepare for a we/wh in stealth, then you should learn it.
Never stand still is one thing, even if you are not aware that a stealther is nearby.
Dying is no option.

This is a common misconception.
BOs don't force you to stand still, because it is an area.
Moving or even better riding can give you the split second between opener and knockdown you need to react and hit detaunt.
Dying is no option.

I don't think it's a good idea. Would be best if we could copy live handing of stealth and aoe damage, i think that was quite ok.

That actually is how it was on live...
*untargeted AoE does not break it
*any single targeted attack or spell will instantly pop it (meaning dot application counts too)
*dot ticks do not break it
*every CC that is AoE will affect you while still being stealthed
*every AoE dmg will still be fully applied

I dont see any problems here.


PS: WH and WE are both fine if the stealth properly works. no need to discuss any .. i dont even know what i should call some of those "proposals"..

wasn't it in live that if a we /wh was dumb enough to go in to lots of aoe that would raze the chance of getting spotted in stealth and a direct hit would brake it or cc. I do remember that you could kill a we/wh in stealth with dots and aoe and they would blink in and out of stealth allot if they were taking damage but level played a big part in this or maybe it was the stats from the levels. I know chosen were always getting WH in stealth with a kd and WE got lots of kd from ib. was always funny to see a tank hitting thin air then a we/wh just appears at there feet

Yeah, I don't mind taking AoE damage in stealth, which is how it should be, it's just that the slightest bit of splash damage, like a pebble gets knock onto your toe, and you get dropped out of stealth.

yah just was talking to the wife she played a rr88 WE. aoe would only brake it if it was lots a few hits did not brake stealth but if she got spotted and took a few direct hit or cc then it would. it was more the close proximity to the players like tanks with hight inis she would become visible

I can confirm my stealth is still instantly broken by taking single AOE from BW(annihilate), IBs Earthshatter or Engis AOE dots(fragmentation grenade,Acid bomb).
