Rejecting a scenario queue pop.Azarael wrote:Under what conditions should Quitter! activate?wargrimnir wrote:Queue dodge debuff of 5m, similar to the Quitter! debuff from live. I did enjoy the tears when they introduced the Quitter debuff.
Have it scale up if people are repeat offenders, and reset weekly. Add 3 minutes per dodge.

Re: People not joining SC's
I recall complaints of people having the game crash and logging back on with the Quitter debuff, it was more than just choosing to leave.noisestorm wrote:Normally when you left a SC during the game (there was actually a button for leaving iirc?) you got the debuff. But something similar should occur on lets say the second time when someone pops sc and clicks 'one more min' and then leaves again imo
Re: People not joining SC's
You got quitter if you left SC through the portals in SC spawnpoints. Chosig not to join a SC wasn't triggering quitter. We often roamed lakes while queueing and quite often we couldn't go in because we capped / defended or engaged enemies

Re: People not joining SC's
The idea was to get people to join the scenario they queue for, so it's not a 3v12. If you reject the pop because you don't like the matchup, you get to wait a couple minutes instead of queueing immediately. I think it would go nicely with the point multiplier Aza introduced as scens would still end pretty quickly when outnumbered, and people wouldn't feel the need to quit during them.Bozzax wrote:You got quitter if you left SC through the portals in SC spawnpoints. Different problems, different angles to attack from.
Re: People not joining SC's
Horrible idea you roam and you queue what is missing is group queue

Re: People not joining SC's
Wow has a pretty little solution - if you don't join, you get a few mins debuff not allowing you to queue up again. If you do it again within a certain timespan, the debuff increases. Up to 30 mins. Turning the players into chickens would be nice. So it's either RVR or SCs.
Problem atm: you just log out and all buffs/debuffs are gone.
But first of all, I'd say remove the "One more minute" button (or disable it) then increase the waiting time in spawn for sc start to 1 min 10 secs. And maybe decrease the waiting timer (for accepting SC inv) to 45 secs. Small changes, that in sum, should lead to full SCs at start.

Re: People not joining SC's
The issue as I can tell.Bozzax wrote:Horrible idea you roam and you queue what is missing is group queue
Group queue is not currently implemented, so players will attempt to queue at the same time to increase their chances of getting a scenario pop. -- Nothing wrong with this, group queue would do the same thing.
Some players are not accepting the queue pop, causing an imbalanced scenario battle that is no fun for either side. -- Aza addressed this by increasing the multiplier to end them more quickly.
Players are waiting until these psuedo-premades get into the scenario, checking the Social tab (which currently shows every player and location), and deciding if they want to play based on their opponents. -- This is bad behavior and needs to be addressed.
The Quitter debuff removes the ability to queue for a scenario. If you're one of the problem players that will queue only when you don't see certain names in a scenario, it would punish that behavior by removing your ability to queue for some time. If 5m isn't enough to deter this, it could be increased.

If it's possible to remove Scenarios from the filter in the social tab, that would probably be a better solution.
