You don't burst and detaunt. Why bw/sorc don't have it? They opted for more damage in exchange for defenses.
@Valarion: aoe detaunt for both classes is 10sec. the secondary effects of both skills appear in your own buff bar, here AM got only 5sec duration.

because the people behind the balance changes are really bad at the game and have never played in any serious competitive or organised warband setting, let alone small scale group that knows what its doing. imagine taking a random player from PUG scenarios who bitches they can't kill a healer while not assisting anyone and not even having a healdebuff themselves, thats your average balance team member right there.

That being said, the adjustments to the Dok/WP AoE detaunt were probably overly harsh.

It's not because you can't see the reason that there's no reason at all.
WP/DoK already have better chances to survive when caught, giving also more time for tank to switch guard and connect.
Cd on detaunt is 15sec, duration was 15sec and with tactic it worked in AoE => 100% detaunt uptime in AoE. Neither Shaman nor AMs could ever do that, even with CD reduction buff (duration 10sec, cd is 30sec).
You cross this with DoK/WP armor, instant/fast casts only, auto healing/shielding tactics and there you go unkillable healer.
Before yelling and being agressive, please read tooltips/posts carefully. Thank you.

The point here was, that classes you want to knockback, e.g. melee DD and DPS tanks, have more parry than disrupt, so shaman aoe kb is better. Additional it has a small snare component and works 360°, therefore it is more reliable.
There were other arguments in that proposal to aim at. Overall it wasn't convincing.
Dying is no option.

Don't forget Shamman have 3 Detaunts, not 2.
This autodetaunt tactic is the most OP tactic of the game, a shamman can scape from a full WB easily
