At best it automates your rotation and even then it still requires a button press at every ability. You still need to move your toon, select your targets, and position yourself.Sulorie wrote: Wed Nov 03, 2021 8:31 am The whole talk about NB automating gameplay sounds pretty much like some "what is an assault rifle?"-discussion.
How to get ROR population up.

"NB made people more competitive"
You mean. NB made it EASIER to be more competitive
I think of NB in Street fighter context. You have one player who pushes LEFT+RIGHT+DOWN+X+Y+Z to complete a move. Whilst player 2, Mr NB, presses X for the same result. Does that make player 2 more competitive??
WaR was a game without NB, So be it in RoR too. How much fun would Street fighter be if you pressed 1 button?

I am pretty certain WaR had NB as far as I can remember. Also you SF comparison is miles away from what playing with NB is in reality.skylinx wrote: Wed Nov 03, 2021 9:20 am "NB made people more competitive"

You want to contribute to this so-called discussion with lies or at least misinformed statements?
Dying is no option.

How TF is a UNFAIR advantage if the addon was accesible to EVERYONE??
People would rather, you know, actually play the game and not be forced to use NB (have a more colourful and clever name for it) just to keep up to the speed of an automated system.
You're saying you should have a right to play how you want by using NB? Goes the other way, too. We want the right to not HAVE to use it. It just so happens that your want is against the games TOS and fundamentally broke combat by making it automated and boring, and our want isn't deemed such.
Once more, if people blame the population drop because of NB being banned, you can say the same for Destruction Nerfs too...the timing there can be just as valid. Just making an example.
If you feel better ("more skilled") not using it...just go ahead and dont use it...But you want to remove the option to others to use it..
NB made the game easier to play, easier to swap between alts and made "playable" some hardcore classes (hello IB+BG)...
I never use NB myself (didnt felt the need to use it) but im OK to any tools to make game easier to play....a lot ppl left the game because felt pissed by this change, not because they cant play without NB....
Devs pushed this change knowing this gonna happen...so, no regrets (i assume)...
When the "proyect objectives" begin to drive away a high % of playerbase is a dangerous road to follow (i saw it some years ago in Uthgard 2...)

I discovered NB in March only so I did not get addicted to it much but the manner how ban was implemented is pretty discouraging.

Re: How to get ROR population up.
many players forget so many things, NB check the conditions. as example, healdebuff.
if you target an enemy he get a healduff from another player, they you press the button from NB and in you rotation is a healdebuff skill.then NB check, the enemy had a healdebuff and then NB skip automaticly the healdebuff skill. and if the addon decide this for you as player, then is is a cheat. and devs here said it from beginning. if it is possible then the block NB and at the beginning it was not possible and now it is possible, instead cry about NB that is the reason why the popukation is low, please learn to play your chars. all chars are simple to play, the key word is, learn curve. you as player grow with the chars if you play themselve. you as players decide which skill in which situation. and you als human can be press a false button in a situation, that is normal and if you do this you be lose, if the addon decide this ever the right button then you ever win and that is cheatin or botting
