You lack too much tools to pull it off on that level, ofc - to put in relation: pocket items (3-4k absorbs), crit liniments, armor/resistance, hp/s, absorbs, ridiculous levels of crit and haste, high rr tools (RR abilities [TB,...], set on-use effects,...), lotd cloaks/shinies in general, (...).freshour wrote:Okay last derailment I promise, but is that version of a Choppa even possible on RoR? Or was that mostly a gear/live Choppa type of thing that isn't really possible anymore? Not that many people besides a few T3 AM's, and T4 WH/WE shammy's solo roam all that much.. but still that guy was incredible.
But choppa roaming should still be possible all things considered - Choppa don't rely as much on the AoE tree and can invest into ST, picking the selfheal, the 2h DoT (which is an amaizing burst tool with the rampup) and the AP refresh; offer a more reliable ST burst/sustained damage (in such environments, by virtue of static +critdmg/crit% tactic that becomes viable in small scale) outside of berserk in general. Slayers are more often than not baited into going superglass or grossly overestimate their capabilities otherwise ~ Choppas aren't as suspectible to tilt/arrogant play, all things considered.
However, its extremely exhausting in regards to economy ~ if you don't have a strong pot game you shouldn't consider roaming on a Choppa/Slayer.
You, too, want to actively min/max your gear - as in: every stat point you can muster matters - if you choose to play Choppa/Slayer as soloroamer on RoR ~ you don't have enough leeway (single zone campaign [overpopulated zones], average experience/RR/gear level, [...]) to successfully halfarse it.
Abbd.: Forgot to mention the non-dynamic nature of damage on RoR - that alone makes roaming on Choppa/Slayer a thousand times harder. You can't properly ragedump anymore to avoid being blown up by DoTs. So with that in mind Slayer prolly have an edge over Choppas after all, considering that the more reliable damage gets outperformed by FM-powered AA haste setups.
TLDR: No. See first two sentences of the addendum*.
