cant install the game

When I did this we were going through new versions of the launcher every few days, so people had to download the new launcher to play. Once the next launcher is released I'm strongly debating on bundling it with the client download, although that isn't 100% decided at this moment.

is that a known issue? - i managed to start the client - "connect" worked - but the start menu has..no "play" option. only settings, cinematic, quit, etc..

Have the same problem from yesterday. 'Black box' with info from server is blank, after 10 seconds got system window 'authentication failed, application will now terminate'.
Changed passwords, doesnt help,
changed data.myp file, helped once.
changed launcher file, helped once,
looks like pure luck.
Have someone spotted this problem?
Any help?

suggestion: wouldnt it be possible to pack the ror launcher already inside the game folder? so people dont have to do it manually. they can just download the whole folder without moving the ror.launcher.

Problem with that would be that the torrent hash is inconsistent then. Meaning all ppl sharing the torrent right now will seed into nothing and would have to redownload the whole stuff in order to share it (not sure if its possible to edit the current torrents to work actually).

This could be changed for the Directdownload though, but then again at some point we probably will have a new launcher/patcher when the time comes and then its the same thing again. So i guess its fine if the game is just seeded as it is

sry, is there something that can be done with it?
or just gtfo, reinstall your system, reinstall your war, change password, replace your WAR files
i can understand there is not too many ppl with this problem, but its really annoying if u can log in to server once a day, if u are lucky

There is likely something blocking communication to the game server, which is different from the login server. In some cases, this has been the result of some malware applications, and a virus scan let the player connect to the game again. In other cases, networking or "gaming" utilities can block the connection.

ok, solved the issue.

don't as me why, but the file data.myp was read only.

changed that, and seems to work.
