I forced colored text to be regular by overriding the CSS for <span> tags on this site, so it's no skin off my back whichever way the decision goes.

Orrrrrrrrr we could create a forum script button which forces colours to go off, client-side.
And by 'we', I mean those who are able to do such a thing.

Actually, it is if you're on a smartphone. Your stupid text colors (not to mention the general quality of your posts) do not justify extra effort on behalf of both PC users and smartphone users to highlight your text. I don't know why you think people should have to highlight your posts to read them - you're only using that color to attention ***** and force people to highlight your posts because you think that'll make you unique, as the actual content of your posts isn't distinctive enough to make a name for yourself.
But if you'd actually read the thread, you'd realise that I've already forced off your problem-causing colors with a script. It's just as well - I honestly thought this would be an open and shut accessibility issue...

I might start doing the same thing you do now that I'm immune to it.

Unreadable colors are annoying while the "language" you speak of or to be a bit more precise profanity.Elven wrote:Colours and language are different matters, right?
I'm not familiar with this "filtering" you speak of.
I do not understand why we can’t use words such as ASS, CO CK and ect ect... as many of these words have a different meaning, you’re from the UK you should know that an ASS is a donkey (American) and a co ck is a rooster (American). But further to my point language is not offensive or dirty unless the people who use it make it so, I don’t find anything offensive or dirty in any word as they all have different meanings just because some retarded people choose to use them like they do.
To sum things up. I'm all for removing colors or at least limiting the use as they are hard to read, and even though we are not forced to read them, you’re as well not forced to read the forums but we do because we care about the server.
And all for removing profanity filters.
Here is a nice little joke:
An American decides to move to Britain, he goes to a provincial area and buys a farm.
Goes to the nearest farm to buy some farm animals for himself
Goes inside the store looks around and starts asking the saleswoman
I want to buy a Chicken?
Saleswoman – In the UK we call them Hen’s.
Man – I’ll buy a Hen then.
Man – I want to buy a rooster as well.
Saleswoman – We call them Co ck’s here.
Man – Alright I’ll buy a co ck then. And I need a donkey to transport myself around to town.
Saleswoman – We call them asses here, they are outside, and just so you know if the ass stops moving just scratch him between the ears and he will start moving.
So the man put the hen under one arm, the co ck under the other and mounted the ass.
After Riding for a while the ass stopped. But both of his hands were full and he couldn’t let the animals escape, after a few minutes of thought a woman passed by and the man asked:
Excuse me. Could you hold my co ck while I scratch my ass?
Good you got to the end of my post! Here is your prize!

Yeah, the filter is out of my hands. Dascoub can probably alter the profanity filter (if needed to). Then again there's no need to use profanity, as it's usually used in heated arguments.OrtanCassius wrote: Unreadable colors are annoying while the "language" you speak of or to be a bit more precise profanity.

"Ass" isn't a bad word, I know. Obviously when added to a second syllable word, it becomes one. It's just the filter being over protective/aggressive.
Besides, words being "****" instead of what was truly meant isn't a big deal. Why do you really want someone to see what profanity words you use? I'm sure they can use their imagination, if they so desire.
Anyway... Everyone stop using different colours in your posts JUST to prove that it isn't readable. Simply stating it is enough. If you're gonna do EXACTLY the opposite of the desired intention of this topic was created for. I'll just delete your messages.
It's not adding anything constructive to the topic.
