Multiboxing, more detailed question

So i read the rules about multiboxing and i have several questions regarding this.
It is stated that it is forbidden to engage in pve with multiple characters, so i am not allowed to build my own grp and farm stuff easily. That makes sense.

but for example if i am only fighting with one char, and another just sits and sucks up half of the xp. When i started a friend helped me through the first lvls by killing a bunch of high lvl mobs and while i fought with him at the beginning it was pretty clear i wasn't doing any help. Because i died we agreed that i better just stay behind so i don't get aggro. Basically he was the only one doing something.

so when would above situation get forbidden?
When i am getting leveled by friend, but am afk just coming to pc once in a while?
When i use my wife's and my pc to log both accounts....and help her while she is not at home?
above example but i also reach over and press a heal once i a while
when i logg both accounts from one pc
etc.....
i could list many more examples

all examples are similar, but some are clearly multiboxing, some borderline and some are just normal playing. So where is the official line for this?

To be clear: i can understand that the serverload should stay low so everyone can play and you don't want single persons running a warband full of chars to farm gold/drops/etc...
i am just trying to avoid breaking any rules and/or being mistaken ffor breaking a rule (fkr example when a friend kills stuff while i am afk)

PS: sorry for the horrible writing, i am on mobile :(

One situation requires multiple people... or simply 1 person to 1 character. Multiboxing/scripting is 1 person to X characters and is abuse. The former if it is really against the rules is impossible to enforce or prove and I wouldn't worry about it if it even is against the rules. However if you are multiboxing or running a script it is very easy to tell and thus enforce. I have heard a lot of people getting banned for this, I wouldn't even try it.

However getting power leveled by a friend, even if you are AFK I seriously doubt anyone has ever been banned for it, and I can't really see why it would even be against the rules.

To get a real answer you will have to wait for a dev/GM to respond.

Avoid those (clearly multiboxing) and you should be fine.

Easy way to prevent this

Make Launcher keep awalys running check mutiples process

Medium Way to prevent this

Prevent more one connection per MAC adress

I know both case if guy have second or third computer can running but at last 2 character not one full warband

If the game is running in multiple locations/instances and you're in control, it is considered multiboxing.

I would advise anyone to avoid benefiting while afk, otherwise you're just asking for GM scrutiny on your behavior.

If you are logged into the game, you are expected to be active and responsive when a GM does investigate the situation. Best option is to avoid this behavior entirely and earn your levels appropriately.

I play a tank, and the two abilities I use most in SCs is Guard and /follow. Is that bad?

Probably better than most tanks in scenarios. You are a shining example of good tank. .additem cookie

For example the dwarf event with a gunline of 15 engineers. :)
We had to answer to several players simultaniously in the past to prove that we are not a bunch of multiboxers. :)
