Scenario Tactics

since playing this game from launch on and off the same issue comes to mind when I started playing the EMU.

WHY would any smart player beat on a heavy armor PC while the healers stand behind the pack having a vacation?

Maybe I'm different but to me it doesn't compute.
As far as I know DEAD healers can't heal and TANKS being healed almost never goes down.

So with that in mind why do players do the same thing over and over every scenario?

Do players play just to see how much damage they can do or do they actually want to WIN in the scenario?

Your thoughts please!

What most people think:
- They are f***ing retarded.

What is probably the case:
- It's unsafe to advance forward (LoS / Range / Too high enemy DPS).

Could of course also be the case that they simply aren't paying that much attention. I've experienced this many times lately. You're holding the Brimstone or whatever objective you are playing, you die from the damage right at the feet of your teammates. They don't pick it up, they just stand there for +10 seconds doing nothing. Meanwhile a single player from the opposite faction runs from +30 ft away, to the objective, picks it up, and runs off again.

This, however, could also be because of the bug that sometimes happens, where players can't see or click on the Brimstone when it's dropped.

You know why this is funny? because its not as easy as it sounds but people sure love to moan in /ad
"OMG ALL THESE SCRUB NOOBS CANT PLAY"

Let me give you my perspective, im a choppa, an mdps with only 1 hdebuff on a 10s cd

Now i need to get into the backlines though every stagger, snare, kb, and kd that ordo have while simultanously having to take huge dmg from all the enginners, sws, and bws that are in the back lines

then i need to apply my 1 hdebuff onto 1 of the multiple 2-4 healers that ordo has then i have to continuously output dps to out dmg the healing being done by the healers and his allies and that in off its self is frustrating cause i have to deal with the annoying as **** melee range bug that all healers exploit by jumping

Now say i target a tank in the freont lines with my hdebuff that is espically being target by other "foolish players" that tank drops fast espically if i have a mara appy the armor debuff and suddenly their front lines starts to crumble

this is just the reality... i solo kill any healer its just not that easy to run in and take healers out becasue of a variety of factors

All valid points, but the scenarios are designed in such a way I always and every time find a way to go in behind all that you speak of, I never try to go directly through the crowd!!

Good for you. So you found a way to bypass problems like LoS, range AND teammates dying instantly?

People are stupid in this game they'll chase people to the spawn just to get a kill and leave 1or 2 enemy players run around taking the flags and not bothering going back to take the flags cos they want a kill, drives me mad

- you want your defensive procs
- buffs/debuffs/cc
- guard range when guarding caster
- positioning: enemy melees target you when playing tank / you draw attention from your casters / you use "hold the line" / its easier to block ranged when lines standing face to face
