THE GREAT PIE-OFF!
Pie Week is almost upon us! From August 14th to August 28th, the ovens of the Old World will roar to life, tankards will overflow, and champions from every corner of the world will be stuffing themselves with entirely unreasonable quantities of pastry.
And for some of our more seasoned veterans, all this talk of pies may be stirring memories of an ancient tradition...
Yes. We're doing it again.
WE'RE BRINGING PIE WEEK INTO THE REAL WORLD!
Once again, we're challenging the bakers, cooks, hungry adventurers, and dangerously overconfident amateurs of Return of Reckoning to pick up their most devastating rolling pins, and bake a REAL PIE in celebration of Pie Week!
YOUR CHALLENGE
- Bake a homemade pie
- Take a picture of your creation
- Give your creation a suitably Warhammer-themed name and description if inspiration strikes!
Maybe a brutally simple meat pie that an Orc would call "propa cookin'."
Or perhaps a Bright Wizard's creation that's less "golden brown" and more actively on fire.
Or even something so structurally unsound that a Dwarf immediately adds your name to the Book of Grudges.
We want to see them all.
No professional baking skills are required. Homemade entries will be accepted on the honour system, and magnificent masterpieces and catastrophic culinary failures are equally welcome.
AND THERE ARE PRIZES!
Once the ovens have cooled, the community will vote for their favourite creations, with in-game rewards waiting for our top three bakers and two runner-ups!
1st Place - Chef Hat + 1-Year Exotic Mount of your choice* + Bottomless Non-specular dye of your choice** (Character bound)
2nd Place - Picnic cape + either 1-Year Exotic Mount of your choice* OR Bottomless Non-specular dye of your choice** (Character bound)
3rd Place - Rolling Pin Trophy + either 1-Year Exotic Mount of your choice* OR Bottomless Non-specular dye of your choice** (Character bound)
Two Runner-Ups - 30-day Exotic Mount Token*1-year Exotic Mount of your choice from the Exotic Mount Vendor for your faction.
**Bottomless Unlimited Dye of your choice, awarded to a single character. Does not include Specular dyes, Warp Gate Black, or Snow White. All other dyes are allowed.
Whether victory comes through immaculate pastry, questionable creativity, or a pie impressive enough to settle an ancient Dwarf grudge, four bakers will walk away with prizes and eternal culinary glory.
So grab that apron, dust off your rolling pins, fire up the ovens, and start planning your creation.
