I have not been able to make it into LOTD the last few weeks. It seems that with the increased population the bar for getting into LOTD has increased dramatically. It seems that 50 or 60 resources, which once was plenty enough, will not get you in. I seem to recall 30 being enough back in the day.
It would be nice if there was an overflow for LOTD, maybe it wouldn't count for the Order/Destruction Victory, but it would make the mode available to more players. Another option would be to have LOTD twice a week, with resources still lasting for a week, but with an option to spend them midweek. Only one LOTD per account per week. Those that queued midweek, but didn't get in, would still be eligible for the second expedition.
I'm not a programmer, so don't know how much of a task it would be to implement such an idea. And I'm thankful for this game mode, and the existence of this game in general. But just thought I would voice my desire to make LOTD more accessible for more players.

At one time, and I specify at one time because I do not know if this is still the case, if you qued for Land of the Dead and did not get admitted, the system took your resources anyway. Which made it more difficult to gain admission next time around. But yeah, LOTD needs to be opened up. Huge waste of potential at the moment.

Maybe increase the max capacity, I haven't been able to get in two weeks in a row with +50 papers on da bag.

This change was made as Destro used to dominate the numbers in LOTD, thankfully it is much more equal now. Having an overflow LOTD would be interesting, but I don't think you would get enough people in to make it competitive.
Some way of returning your resources to you if you don't get in so you have extra for the next week could be a good fix.
Don't forget that you can send resources from other characters on the same side if you have been playing alts.

The ceiling has indeed been increased and it's because people have been playing alot and it's the same names almost every week in lotd
. Players with 70-80 resources didn't get in yesterday and is what I had a few weeks ago and got in. I got in yesterday but that was because i had alot of resources.
Lotd is strictly endgame content and the barrier to entry is in my opinion way to low, You only need to be lvl 40 to enter and I think they should add a requirement of rr60 before you can even que up and you should have some vanquisher gear at that point to put up a good fight.
Overflow in lotd is not a option because its already extremely laggy as it is and will only increase the stability issues as well as faction imbalance.
Letting players send resources between characters is something I get but not a fan of, It's simply because you can send it from a alt to a higher geared char for easier entry.

Sounds like destro side problem, on order people with 20-30 resources frequently get access to lotd.
Lotd jump between sunday and saturday, so it's 6 or 8 days to gather resources and with 8 days you must have more to get access.

I wasn't aware of the ability to send resources from other characters. I tend to mix things up a bit by switching to other characters, especially after maxxing out weekly RVR rewards. So maybe this is the answer I am looking for.
Not having your resources taken without being granted access does seem like a simpler fix.
Also interesting that Order is not seeing this issue apparently.
That said, LOTD only once per week seems like missed opportunity. Having a midweek option would help those with different schedules. But the key would be to make it once a week per account. Otherwise I could see the same issues happening, just on a different day.

From November 2024 - 2 wins for order, this is main reason why order has less problems with resources, 1h of network lags to get minimal rewards not a best offer, better to siege keep. I think, if order dominate destro in same way - order will struggle with access and destro not. Everyone wants less effort more reward, but when on keep destro pop 300+ and order 100-199, all problems about destro players lack of free space on LotD, city, fort - not dev problem at first look.
Dev optimisation problem - network lag for 5 sec for every ability use in blob fights.
Dev design problem - 1 server for EU, US and EAST and fixed one timer for EU zone.
Easy solution for players rotation - 12 days block access for all accounts witch participate and win LotD.

In the last month or so LOTD has swung in Destros favor. Before that it was Order dominated for a while. So if it really is about LOTD Momentum then this is a temporary issue.
The lag is an issue for both Order and Destruction. It is a problem, and makes the battle about overwhelming numbers rather than strategy, skill, and timing. Blob play was an issue back in the day as it caused server lag. I am not sure about the technical details of the server stability, but would think smaller strategic engagements would be better for performance, not to mention more fun. Of course that is a moot point as the tendency to blob seems too irresistible for either side.
I think adding more LOTD opportunities would be good. But not if it would mean that one side would dread playing, and possibly not field enough players. It just seems weird that there is this cool place that is off limits most of the time. So I'm thinking more chances would be better. I know there may be some that look at it as Reknown math, but for me variety is the spice of life, so fighting in a new area, with the unique zone mechanics is appealing to me, regardless of whether its the best reknown per minute.

for lotd always has been 20-30 ppl left off not hundred, and game basicly ends when majority ppl go lotd
