[AOE channels] mara/wl

Mele AOE channels have too high tooltip dmg.
Sometimes they hit for similar value as ST ability and they hit twice per second.
There should never be a situation where using aoe channel vs 1 enemy will be more effective than ST rotation.
Mara/wl aoe channels have a very short CD which further enhances their potency.
I think this needs devs attention even though dps balance is yet to come.

They don't hit twice per second, builder isn't updated. Was changed in 21/06/2024 patch to hit once per second, and dmg per hit was increased to compensate.

The post didn't apply to them because their aoe dmg is much weaker than sorc/bw ST skills.

also no channel is stronger than a ST rotation idk where you got that from AOE channels are strong VS large groups running a ST party in a WB VS another WB with all AOE the WB with one ST party will win every time BC Coordinated ST damage is stronger than AOE vs one target

The thing is, channels need to do higher dmg than instant skills- because they can be interrupted. If they did the same dmg, why would anyone use them?

If they hit more than one target, yes they should be nerfed.

I have nothing personal to a particular mara (I personally play mara and do not have a WL class) most of them are just noobs pullbots or spinbots anyway.
If you would read with understanding it is about WL/mara and not just mara.

Lets compare.

Demolition- aoe mara skill, instant so cannon be interrupted, no cd, doesn't takes points to spec.
Wrecking Ball- aoe mara channel, channel so can be interrupted, has a cd- only can be used for 3 sec out of every 13, takes going 13 points up Monstrosity and then 1 more point to get it.

If they did the same dmg, why on earth would anyone ever spec Wrecking Ball?
