Launcher not launching, but running in task manager

Hey folks. Re-installed today after being away for a year or so. Downloaded game, logged in, everything was fine. Logged out for dinner, and when i came back, launcher no longer worked. Nothing happens after running RORlauncher, in admin or otherwise. I can see that RoRlauncher is running in my task manager though. Any ideas?

Little update. After messing around and re installing a few times I've noticed the following:

When launching the game on fresh install, it works.

If I ever close the launcher without having launched the actual game, the launcher will no longer load until a fresh install. Very wierd.

So say I open RoR launcher and then decide to not connect and play, then close the launcher, the launcher will not work again until a fresh install. However if I launch the game, exit game, exit launcher, the launcher will work next time. Very wierd.
