[Dueling] Is there a place on RvR ?

Hey I was wondering if there was a place or a zone where Dueling was known?

I know in some games there were some areas where you would see both side fighting but it was more like people taking turns with each other.
I know Dragon Age has these unofficial player made areas.
I don't if it would be considered Renown farming though so could be frowned upon.

Or is there some official/unofficial way to call out a player to fight in the open RvR zones? I tried the /point emote from the safe area and then came out but still got 4 vs 1..

There's an arena in the Garden of Qu'aph zone where you can duel against both your own and the opposite faction.

1v1's in the lakes are not very common, but they can happen. If you are solo, it will be 1vX most of the time.

Yep if you are dueling, plz give me your location. So I can spectate and such.

Also if you see Gilgam dueling someone, plz also give me the location, for the same exact reason.

Dueling in orvr hardly happens as 99.9999% won't respect the fight and just run someone over with however many are around. ALSO if you solo and IF you do find a good fight vs someone, don't just keep fighting and killing each other as that's regarded as kill trading, however warbands can stand one spot for an hour and do it.

The arena was created for testing and dueling so that's the safest way although it's generally buggy for some classes.

How the hell are you supposed to tell the difference between a duel and just a 1v1 in the lakes - in the absence of a huge flashing neon sign saying "duel in progress" ill just assume my realm buddy is fighting for his life and ill assist of course.

And then a GM looks up ur combat log / kill report and says oh Player one and Player 2 killed each other 20 times = kill trading and banned.

It not really good to dule in open rvr lakes, people will jump in to kill the other side as they should in an open zone!

I have learned that some players get it..

I 1 v 1 a shaman and others let us fight.

Of course I had to take several deaths before they figured it out.. But it was interesting and I took a beating..
