Instead of creating an entirely new system the current system could be altereted to bring a unified approach to RvR, that involves people who want to PvP and those who do not.
Current RvR PvP Problems.
BOs have no significance in the game other than keep ranking.
BOs have no importance in being defended or to prevent players from taking a zone.
BOs are too easily traded and not worth fighting over.
Having 4 BOs open at a time creates no idea where to go or where the fight might actually be. (huge problem at low population times)
Resources currently do nothing to repair door/heal lord, handing in 5+ resources at a time is insignificant! (huge problem in defending zone)
Solutions.
2 BOs open at a time. (2 locked).
On zone open, the closest BO to each warcamp will allways be avaible first.
Each open BO has a 2 hour timer. Every 2 hours the BO will lock and the next BO becomes available, based on least to open next.
The easiest way to change how RvR works is by adjusting the amount of points resources give. (main issue in defense)
Resource turn ins give great benefits in door repair/lord heal.
The lock timer helps flow of battle move around the map.
Issues.
The amount of points resources earn need to have enough effect to repair door/heal lord.
each resource should repair door 10% heal lord 15%, it needs to be significant enough that BOs are no longer ignored on defense.
The amount of resources needed to rank up keep should be adjusted to allow for the increase of resource size.
Overall.
Increasing the amount resource gives on door repair/lord heal, would make turning them in during keep defense change the entire game. It does nothing in the current state. There is very little reason to do it.
Also limiting BOs to only 2 open at a time, would help drastically during low population times and in general.
People who want to run resources can do so and those who want to engage in PVP will be able to find it much easier.
