Freeze when entering realm

Hello - haven't had any issues logging into the character screen and can select either faction but when I select a character and attempt to log-in the game seems to halt and I see a "locating battles, searching for allies" message which never seems to resolve.

Any advice? thanks

Im having same issue ... can get to the character screen but not log in

Server is currently offline due to difficulties.
