Hey all
Just had a brain fart to make doing lairs a bit more attractive. AFAIK the only lair in t4 that gets regular traffic is the fleshrender lair for the regen jewels. The rest of the lairs drop other armour pieces or occasionally weapons.
The T1 lairs are fine. Not talking about them, if you were wondering.
Anyway, the suggestion is to change the pieces in the lairs from being pointless armour pieces to being jewels with different focuses like crit chances, absorb procs, etc. This will make them more attractive because otherwise they're pretty much pointless.
Might come back later with some poorly thought out suggestions, because I'm bored.

Okay, so here's a list of ideas. I've tried to theme them to the monster in the lair, they're all supposed to be roughly equivalent to the fleshrender ones. They'd be generic so any class could use them.

thing is, most people dont enjoy pve in this game. If they do it is cos its worth it for wards or very specific builds.
Unless u put smthing relly good in those lairs or something u just cant get nowhere else nobody will do them bcs u can just run genesis or Gb jewels wich u will get anyways since u need 3 run for wards.
maybe it could work for t2 and t3 since there aint that many good jewels.

to make lairs attractive they need something thats useful in pvp. if they dropped crates of pvp hp/ap potion stacks that would make people farm them

if lairs dropped as little as x10 hp or ap pvp pots i am pretty sure they would be all on farm all day long. this in turn would lead to more pvp around lairs if flagging was permitted around and inside them. not much going around lakes for small scale groups? -> go to lair for pots -> meet group from the other side -> pvp, winner takes lair.Plaguewall wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2023 10:56 pmThat's actually a great idea. Decent suggestion, I wouldn't mind, except the 2% heal crit which would be BIS for AM/SHM/RP/ZL.
Fleshrender is BIS(ish) for very niche solo regen specs, so don't mind that.
She is farmed on cooldown since you can solo it, so maybe all lairs should have a big buff against soloers:
+100% strikethrough
+100% dmg
+1000 hp/4sec
Decreased by 1/3 for each nearby player
Then add BoP Rare Fortune/Ruin/New T4 version set of Sov Main, with a specific piece dropping from each lair with equal chance of dropping as the rest of the loot table.
A bit like beastlord.
Though, personally don't mind how it is now, lairs are fun once or twice for the exploration and when it comes up in events, or if you are trying to figure out a build to solo them, but after that it's just mostly running and spawn camping, neither of which are particularly fun.
