Character select screen blank?

Hi all, I just downloaded and installed the game earlier today but when I try to log in the game, the character select screen comes up with multiple boxes but they are all showing as blank with no text at all, which obviously makes it very difficult to know what to click lol. Anyone know of a fix to this issue? Did I do something wrong during install? Any help would be appreciated as I’d love to get in game. Thanks!

you probably missed an installation step. directory rights most likely
