More Armor on Witch Hunter Sets

Hi

Currently as a Witch Hunter with a mix of Invader and Vanquisher gear, I only get 1200 armor. I have 2 times that armor on my Rank 32 White Lion. There is, in my opinion, a balancing issue regarding this aspect of the Witch Hunter class.

It is pretty disappointing when I see how little additional armor I get from a new set (lower than 100). This doesn't change anything, and it feels like the grind is not properly rewarded.

Since Witch Elves are already playable in warbands situations, and Witch Hunters are absolutely not, increasing the armor of Witch Hunters sets could partially answer to the uselesness of this class in big fights by making them more resistant.

the division of armor into heavy medium and light is the same for all classes, this definitely does not need to be changed (you always have armor talismans)

Disagree, 1 WH in an RvR wb can make a huge difference.

My point is that Witch Hunter is a Melee class unlike others light armored classes, I was thinking of some in-between for this specific "light armor melee"

No one cares for WH in warbands because you get deleted and have about 0 AoE (the healing debuff and moral boost for your party from Dragon Gun are good, that's it). If WH were making a "huge difference" in warbands everyone would already know. No one wants that class.

To answer to another post, the Witchbrew defensive Witch Elf is actually very tanky, despite this character being nacked. The DPS is higher thanks to dual wielding telekinetic daggers (high attack speed). Witch Elves are invited in organized warbands, Witch Hunters are not for theses reasons

Let me correct what you've said. Don't want to spread misinformation.

A well played WH is actually an asset for a relatively organized WB. The actual problem being you usually don't need more than one or two.

It's not only through dragon gun aoe dmg and morale drain but also by:

1. Spreading outgoing heal debuff
2. Staking critical enemy healers
3. Excommunicate critical targets (champs in city) during long fights
4. Surprise single target pressure on unguarded targets with ST group
5. Almost 100% uptime on outgoing and incoming heal debuff on target (75% heal debuff on healers)
6. Great escape tools if being pressured

Etc....

Defensive WEs are bad in WBs because they lack the damage pressure brought on by str WEs. WEs are better than WH in groups primarily because of flat damage increase tactics while the strongest WH damaging ability is a dot. Also WEs have a very strong crit increase m3 which effects their entire group.

Due to the flat damage increase WEs can get away from losing out on dps from positional attacks while WH need to be at their enemies back at all times to inflict damage pressure.

What is that? Other game reference?

@OP As Reynor pointed out wearing armor talis helps.
