Weekend Warfront: Road to Madness



There is rumored to be a great source of power deep in the Chaos Wastes. The Maw of Madness as it is called is undoubtedly being used by our enemies.

There are two fates branching forth for you. In one, you storm the Maw of Madness and claim the magical power for your realm. In the other, you wander the wastes a mewling spawn of wretchedness. Which would you rather see come to pass?

This weekend Road to Madness will be the weekend warfront from 12:00 on Friday to 12:00 on Monday Altdorf time. You get +50% XP and Renown in the Maw of Madness scenario, and extra rewards from completing the event tasks.



Realm versus Realm

Ranked Scenarios

- Fixed an issue with targeting self when switched to other realm team.

- The match maker will now try to make more even matches MMR-wise, at the expense of mixing realms a bit more than before.

Combat and Careers

General Changes and Fixes

- Absorb potions are now on a separate cooldown from Armor & Resist potions.

- We have synced the cast angle from client files to server. So you should no longer have abilities that show as castable but then give error that they are out of sight.



Bug Fixes

- Chop Fasta from two choppas in same party won't overwrite each other. So if second choppa pops chop fasta before first one expires, it will still actually fire.



Bug Fixes

- Storm of Ravens: Not castable on the move anymore.

Sorry about the back and forth on this ability. We synced attributes with the client ability files, but seems there had been a faulty edit in the past to the flags on this ability. When double checking with 1.4.8 files it was not marked as castable on the move.

Quests

High Elf Chapter 20
- Death and Remembrance/Death Poem of Illoren Truebow/Death Poem of Farielle/Death Poem of Yviras: These 4 quests are now linked together. You need to have accepted the quest "Death and Remembrance" to be able to accept the three others. Completing each of the three quests "Death Poem of ..." will now complete the quest objectives of "Death and Remembrance"

Lul well that lasted one whole patch. Guess its looking like dps zeal will never get to que ranked. sadge

It wasn't a buff for dps zealot, and did very little for solo as well.
It was a small utility buff for a bad channel in a niche/weak tree, can't say the revert will be noticeable.

If anything they can now fix/increase the dmg by ~50% to match other channels without worry.


Anyway.. Good to see mixed ranked sticking around and getting improved

Love it, let’s take an already worthless spec, give it a useful ability, and then take it back in the same breath. So silly how the team has time to work on crap that means almost nothing. Meanwhile the MAIN campaign remains an utter sh** fest.

Agreed, it's a shame but without the Zealot/RP players starting some discussions there's not much you can ask for.

No easy way to tweak it either. All three masteries have both healing and dps abilities. It's a mess. Massive changes would have to take place before you can even figure out where to start making dps zealot/RP relevant.

And someone will complain anyway.
