Is There A Gear Guide Out There?

So ... many ... currencies.

So ... many ... merchants.

Is there a list or guide or anything at all out there that explains the tiers of gear and how and where to get them? I did a fort today and got seven different currencies and have no idea what any of them are in comparison to each other!
