Newbie Slayer: Can not equip Great Axe

I am a Slayer Level 9 (Career rank), but I am still not allowed to equip a Great Axe.

When I try to equip it, it asks "Item will be bound, do you really wanna do this?". So it seems to accept the Great Axe.

But when I say YES, I get the message: "You can't equip Initiate Waraxe".

The item information says: "Both hands, Great Axe, Dwarf"

I even got a new ability for GREAT WEAPONs: "Deathblow".
