Server lag and connection issues

I have been having some really bad server lag the past few days. The server seems to be disconnecting every few minutes and I get characters disappearing from the screen and other weird stuff
I'm pretty sure it's not from my ISP or my router as I don't have any lag in other games and my internet connection is fine.

I tried using a VPN but it doesn't help with the lag.
I also tried pinging the game server and it seems like a lot of the packets are lost and timed out.

Does anyone know if there is a way to improve the connection with the server?
I would really appreciate if someone can help me with this.
