updater downloading 162,000 files

I recently uninstalled the game and redownloaded it due to addons not working after the last update. After launching game, through updater since launcher doesn't work, and having it crash while logging out like 3 times the addons worked the 4th time. My power then blinked out and now the updater has to download a manifest, verify all the files and download 162,000 files. I don't understand why the game launched, through updater, 4 times and now all of a sudden it needs thousands of files...

How come the launcher is not working? Could you please share screenshots or more info?

I unistalled everything and downloaded once more and everything seems to be working now. The only difference I can tell is for some reason last download there was no option to unblock in the launcher properties. I don't know why the option wasn't there last time or if it was even the problem.
