Elective level cap?

What I'm thinking is -

Have the option of 'self-capping' your character in the various tiers. In options, you can elect to toggle exp and rr gain on/off at the various Tiers if you enjoyed the zones/gameplay in that Tier. Technically, you could 'pause' exp and renown indefinitely on each individual character if you wished until you choose to advance again.

Just thinking out loud really.

Cheers

There already is something similar that allows you to do that, there are scrolls that you can use that reduce exp by 75%, most people use it to boost their renown exp as much as they can before moving into another tier bracket

Thanks for the reply, yeah I know there's the scrolls etc but I was meaning almost like an elective cap on your chosen character - you no longer gain exp and rr. It could make the Tiers lower than T4 more populated as a byproduct of this. I mean technically you could have the same career playable in each tier if you wanted to - knowing it couldn't level out past that tier if you didn't want it to.

If you could lock xp. There would be tons of twinks in every lvl bracket that would make it allmost impossible for newcomers to fight and level up or have fun.
Thats why there is no xp lock and bolster works like a charm if you keep your gear near to your combat level..

But tiers lower than T4 are already populated. RvR is merged for T2 to T4.
Dying is no option.

Yeah, I get what you're saying - was just that my memories of T2 and T3 were such fun while T4 (after the novelty wears off) is pretty much a different game (kinda). Was just thinking of ways to get those 'fun' mid tiers back
