Goals for leveling a new character

It's been a while since I played around in T1 (or any other tier), and I'm looking for information/opinion/advice on leveling and RR. Last I played through T1 (6 months or so ago), it was possible with patience to hit level 16 with 29/30RR, although boring (as you almost had to avoid any real PvP to get there.) I started a new toon to experiment with tonight, and despite doing only SCs and RvR (which ideally is all I'd like to do), I find myself lacking in RR compared to my level, lacking a bit in SC medallions, and majorly lacking in RvR medallions. Any advice/info on how best to make it through T1 with decent RR and enough medallions to buy the necessities in T2/4 when I get there would be appreciated. Also, are RvR medallions no longer awarded on zone capture? Thanks very much for whatever answers you have time to give. -Art.

Sc give increased xp. If you want to maximize t1 rr, skip sc after earning sc weapons or armor set.
Try to play in groups, not in warbands, for more rewards due to less players rolling for loot and ideally play in zones, where you are outnumbered.

Make a grp, join PQs and mid tier sc ( they give good exp/rr)

depends on your class i'd say, and your realmsetup that day you are in T1...

Last thing i leveled through T1 was dps Zealot -> Yup, like dumb things

1. PvE until lvl 3, takes 2-5 minuts
2. went T1 Dwarf zone with 400% aao (destro dominated elf zone, so order went Dwarf for afk leeching.
3. kills everything, unless they have healing

took me 1 hour for lvl 10 and rr 19

usually as Tank, meele dps and healer you want to party up. (Not zerg up)
as ranged dps you can do some crazy things in T1 on your own.

Pro Tipp, get some AP potions to flee from witchhunters when you are lvl 5 zealot
