Yesterday I'v been participating in the Chaos Wastes siege and it looks like that funneling is still the same problem as it was in 2016.
Siege towers were out of question in 2k16, but now, with client control, they should be possible to implement. I'm not specialist, but I think siege towers shouldn't be too hard to add. For 3D models there are already siege towers in the game for greenskins, empire... and the dark elves, I think. The rest can be done by someone who can work with 3d modeling software. In terms of mechanics, siege towers could use the existing ram code, just with "attach points" near walls instead of gates.
So, what do you think about this? Is it possible?

Re: Siege Towers
I understand that it's not of high priority. However, I wonder how overall possible to implement/feasible/practical from the gameplay standpoint such feature would be.

Re: Siege Towers
most likely depend to peculiar zone, if you take some time and roam around the keeps some have higher walls or are put in higher locations than others, tower siege per se aside, map editing would also be required unless some kind of incredible high tower siege are planned or some logical exploit i cant think of now.

All siege weapons are considered as "animated " objects, and not as assets. For you, it is probably meaningless, but we are actually unable to take an asset ( a static object) and make it "dynamic". Now i guess IF we had siege towers, it would make attacking ram a bit useless don't you think?

The point of seige towers should be to address funnel
Why not make it so that inorder to use seige tower, outer has to be down first

Re: Siege Towers
Aren't posterns open once the door goes down on either outer or inner door, or am I mistaken? If not, then that would be the easiest fix. Cant funnel the door and protect all sides. Attackers can organize and go flank instead

Re: Siege Towers
you probably dont need to have em animated, just pop a singular structure as asset into game in fixed location marked on ground but i still image it hard due map differences tought (by remember all probs we had with ram ) it's most likely possible with hard work if someone is willling...Yaliskah wrote: Tue Feb 19, 2019 3:49 pmWell, yes and... no.Nishka wrote: Tue Feb 19, 2019 1:19 pm For 3D models there are already siege towers in the game for greenskins, empire... and the dark elves, I think.
