[BO] Dominator or opressor?

which one should be used, im looking to be a dps BO for now but was wondering if it worth getting dominator and not getting oppressor because of the taunt ability?

Could use the t4 epic weapon with taunt on it combo with oppressor or 2pc combos for str to still get that proc. Easier to obtain too

Then you lose subj weapon with speed proc. As replacement you could use sentinel with speed proc but not sure how offensive it is.

I hate it that you can't repeat quests. It sucks that I don't have the taunt weapon. But still I think I'll be using oppressor. It has overall more crit, you get 30% increased crit dmg, up to 15% increased overall dmg, more armour and ini. So not a bad trade imo, especially if you're gonna solo a lot and wanna last a bit longer. And of course, if you're dead, you're not dealing damage

TLDR: Oppressor is bad, can I get a 200g refund for my talismans?

So I finally completed my oppressor and got to testing it and there are few points I want to share with other BOs

1. First of all, when it comes to raw damage
One hit with Clobber on a taunted target with full Dominator 1122 damage
One hit with Clobber on a taunted target with full Oppressor and 5 stacks of its buff 1215 damage

The damage difference is negligible because:

• it is VERY difficult to get 5 stacks of the buff and you only get 5% damage for it, Dominator has only to proc once to give you 30% damage increase.
• You have to waste your Taunt cooldown while using Oppressor to increase your damage which means you might not be able to interrupt crucial resurrections or abilities. This is not an issue with Dominator.
• You could get Gorebath to get the taunt proc back but then you'd lose: crit, auto-attack damage and more importantly the subjugator speed proc ergo it's not worth it.

2. The stat difference is minuscule and doesn't make up for the terrible 4 piece bonus

Have you actually seen the new tank sentinel? There's no point of testing it whatsoever, it's simply terrible.

Although I am working on getting it but only to use it as alternative appearance for my Dominator.

Have you actually seen the new tank sentinel? There's no point of testing it whatsoever, it's simply terrible.

Although I am working on getting it but only to use it as alternative appearance for my Dominator.

I mean isnt that initiative nice for a 2h BO? Also the proc seems to be nice. Not worth it against Dom?
