Assistance requested, please

Hello, I just recently found this group and downloaded everything. When I try to run the game I get the message 'Warhammer cannot be run directly. Please run Warpatch.exe to patch and launch.'

But then when I do so, I get this message, 'The patch client was unable to retrieve the file [patcher.prod.sig] from the patch server (0 total errors encountered). Please try the Patch operation again in a short while.'

I went through the FAQ and made the turned off read-only. The custom launcher is still a .rar file, and I am not sure if that might be the issue. (I am not very computer literate, my apologies).

Hello,

you get this message because you try to run the game with the WAR.exe, but this does not function.

You need to download the "RoRLauncher", put him in your warhammer folder and start the game with that.

Edit: Here you can download the RoRLauncher, its in the first post (scroll up a bit) under "Here". Download the file, put it in your Warhammer folder and run the game by clicking on the "RoRLauncher" file.

Glad to hear that!

Now, before you start, dont make any mistakes by creating an Order character, i dont want to spoil the fun, but they all reek a bit (especially the dwarfs), so all the good lads are on the Destro side

I don't know, it seems my luck ran dry as I found out I had to figure out how to get character selection! ;p

I am just having terrible luck...

What is the new problem? You cant go to the character creation? Do you get a certain message/how does the screen look/what do you see?

A. I get to the character selection screen except the little black box to the right is blank and no button to make a character. (I tried both relogging in many, many times and I even re installed the game client!) The background music is playing and I see the the background perfectly, along with the cinematic/setting/credits buttons. Just no CC button.

B. I get a message when I login saying, 'AN ERROR OCCURED (title of message), Data.myp: Could not find file User\Owner\Warhammer Online- Age of Reckoning\mythloginserver.xml'

There is more to that, but it seems like tech stuff I can post if you would like.

Edit: The FAQ post contains something about that, though it does say "serverconfig"
If you are getting this error message:
Data.myp:
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning\mythloginserviceconfig.xml'.

So maybe you try to download the launcher from the first post in here (first post, third point, download launcher, unpack, exchange with the old one in your folder and start the game)

Thanks, how do I 'unpack'. I will have to do this when megaupload lets me get the download.
