The you got nuffin tactic heals noticeably less when using the toughest bellow, Is this how its supposed to be?
I just noticed farming mobs using it for heals, it seemed pretty weak already but then it was cutting down my tactic heal for some reason.
anyone else run into this?
Edit: It seems like the tactic is scaling off the level of bellow you use, also points into the tree perhaps. I have zero points in toughness tree and it heals around 63, I have 9 points in brawler and it heals for 83 a tick, I have around 15 in boss tree and it heals for 101 a tick

Yes all tactics scale with their trees just like abilities. So if you're full boss it will heal the most.

It says all bellows will heal x ammount, so it should just be scaling off the tactic, not the level of the individual bellow right?Collateral wrote:Yes all tactics scale with their trees just like abilities. So if you're full boss it will heal the most.

As I said, it scales with the Boss tree (tactic). The more points you have in it the more it heals. It depends on nothing else (or at least it shouldn't afaik).Athergic wrote:It says all bellows will heal x ammount, so it should just be scaling off the tactic, not the level of the individual bellow right?

Player's view you got nuffin as a lackluster tactic, Maybe have the tactic heal as if your always 15 point in da boss tree regardless of how many points you have in the tree to make it more attractive.
You got nuffin used to be a anti-detaunt tactic similar to the BG's anti detaunt if I remeber correctly. It got changed awhile back. Maybe make this back into a anti-detaunt tactic again?

I think it just needs a simple numerical tweak. The higher the healing numbers go (including boss scaling), the more attractive it gets. This sound relatively easy to implement over complex mechanical changes.
There's no need for it not to heal a good amount. A lot of game designers seem to pussyfoot with cross-role abilities like this and the WAR team seemed no different, and it always ends up in such abilities being lacklustre. Good healing from this one tactic will never make Black Orc a fulltime "healer"... it will just support healers in the same way mitigation abilities do. It's not like Borcs are going to start building willpower and being group healers with it.
Having said that, it'd be interesting to look at the mitigation numbers for similar abilities... if we assume all abilities that "reduce the amount of healing healers have to do" are in the same category, since they perform effectively the same job. If we looked at something like we'z bigger or corrupting wrath, would it have roughly the same amount of "healing saved" as YGN? If so, YGN is actually balanced just fine but people just don't take it due to preconceptions.
The bonuses of toughness or armor increasing group buffs might be equally insignificant as YGN but you just don't "see" their insignificance.
