Classes that can solo well? (Quest leveling/PQ)

As the title says, rather than the multiplayer experience, I'm more interested in the lore/quest/exploration experience.
I remember playing a sorceress in the past (and dying a lot).
So I'm asking here, what are your recommendations when it comes to soloing PVE content?

Pet classes seem to be suited for soloing since the pet can tank for you and dish out damage as well. So engineer or whitle lion could be worth a try.

You wont be able to finish PQs at level on your own once you reach T2/T3 because final bosses start to be hero level. So you will have to attach yourself to groups for that.

For pve farming/boosting best classes are aoe mara/engi and champ farming dps wp/dok.

Sorc is doable for soloing in late game with Triumphant Blasting and speccing for the healing dot.
However, as usual, when it comes to soloing the question is; can I kill it before it kills me?
If you can't you either need to go very tanky on a tank and out-survive the enemy with a lot of parries and blocks, or go straight out as a dps healer that keeps dpsing and healing while killing.
best choices IMO: dps Dok/wp, dps zealot/RP, dps shaman/AM
if not healer, try classes with decent self healing potential like engineer, Blackguard, Swordmaster, Ironbreaker, and any other tank will do it as well.

Shadow Warrior and Squig Herder can also kite a lot of bosses, so you basically just run in circles and hope the boss never catches you while you pew pew them from distance.

Avoid pure mdps if you want to enjoy PvE.

So I guess I'll try a DoK (Or is WP better?)

Can engineers really tank with their pets? If so that sounds interesting.
How significant is the healing on the Swordmaster? I guess it could be worth a try.
Shadow warrior can kite? Really? Don't bosses etc end up leashing out?

Engineer with pet is really awesome, either high healing or high damage. The turret takes the agrro, so the engi can pew pew quite undisturbed.
SM can get a healing tactic, it's small, but if you get enough high parry, the small healing is enough to make you last most fights, same with BG that can get some minor healing done on self.
Some bosses will do some ranged dmg as do some mobs, but majority of monsters in this game insist on catching you to hit you, so rdps like SW/SH can get lot of killing done with easy, SH even more thanks to pet mechanics.

Doesn't take much room needed to kite pve mobs with SW/SH as long as you know the class half decently. I agree that if you want to experience pve more, you should go engy/Magus or SW/SH or WP/dok. Engy/Magus will allow you to farm exp quickly. SW/SH will allow you to kite pretty much anything so you can experience more things. WP/dok is more self sustaining.
