Good Evening all,

EST SM sword and board tank, Never played Warhammer before but I love PVP and I love making sure the healers/DPS don't bite the dust before they can do their job. Any advice you can give me would be great!

This game is great thus far, I love the art style.

Enjoy your stay, check out the high elf subforum with plenty of infomation on the Swordmaster class. There are also some leveling guides if you use the forum search function.

Some advice as you level up is to learn situational awareness, do your best to know where your team are at a given point in time.
Know the distance of your key abilities, guard has a range of 30 feet, learn the immunity timers (green chain and green shield on the UI) and what abilities trigger each immunity.
When initially fighting, guard a mdps beside you and stay within 30 feet of them, when withdrawing or falling back, switch guard as needed.

Lastly, pick up some addons which display the distance for guard, Enemy or GES are useful. You can find these in the addon subforum, although some come pre-installed upon character creation.

Thank you all for your replies, I've just been running scenarios until I eventually get an aoe ability, then ill be in the lookout for anyone who wants to mad aoe farm.

as tank you are a guard and cc bot first, dont be afraid to use juggernaut/RD/CW and flee to get to your guard target if punted/cc'ed

That's always been my ideal playstyle, I'd rather have a win with unimpressive numbers next to my name than a loss where I top damage done and KBs
