Ahoy wonderful community!

Hello to you all fellow RoR players!

I'm a recent addition to the RoR community, my name is Kytt, I'm 23, a philosophy student in the south of France.

IRL formalities done, I discovered this wonderful project about 2-3 weeks ago and decided to give it my best. Wow, thank you so much dev team! A dream come true (if I put aside the fact the Lyzyrdmen haven't been implemented (yet) :P  ).
As such, I started out as a Warrior Priest named Kyrtt (quite original huh? ^^), because they're so badass. A (scantily) armored fanatic chanting away and smashing oppossition with a big hammer, what can go wrong? He currently is lvl 17, and since I've added a few other secondary characters.
I'd like to roleplay, 'cos I have a few plans (Just as planned! Not as planned?) concerning my toons, but all in all I just want to have a good time playing in this marvelous universe :D

So there goes, see you soon on the field of battle!
And thus he awoke,
Amidst friend and foe,
Therefore he spoke
To chase away the woe.

The learning places are many,
So gather will and resolve.
The greatest foe of any
Inside you you must solve

Philosophy!
How do you feel about Daniel Dennett and his material?
Are you purely into continental philosophy, or the logic game, or all the marbles? :)

By the by, welcome aboard.
Did you know that William Harrison's "The Theologian" was published in 1965?

Interesting
I hadn't ever heard of Daniel Dennett, on the other hand I'm quite familiar with Richard Dawkins' work.
That said you've added yet another huge slab of knowledge to my 'to read' folder, as the quick glance I gave seemed highly interesting.

Personally I'm into every bit of philosophy you can scrape of this planet (from Confucius and the Upanishad to Pagans and alchemists, all through the classics), although our studies are very much (as in totally) oriented towards continental philosophy.
I quite appreciate Wittgenstein and his logic game (the latter, even though the former is highly interesting) but otherwise logicians are a special species :P
Above all, I consider there are eminently important philosophical matters we as humans need to adress in the present, such as reviewed ethics and politics, such that they may apply no matter what metaphysical stance you take. Oh and AI's, future division of labor (if needed) etc etc etc...
I'll cut it here ^^

All to the field of battle!
