Thank you Warhammer, now RoR

Back in 2008 when Warhammer started, my friend and I stumbled on this game and became loyal players starting on the order side on the Red Eye Mountain Server. Eventually, we moved on to the destruction side and to the Magnus server. My friend and I decided to start a guild, gave it a quirky name, "Destro Pals" (yeah, I know) and ended up being one of the largest guilds at that time. We played against and alongside the classic guilds of those days on our server - LoW, SEOF, AFL, The Fallen, Unrepentant, Sacrifice. And the classic players, wherein the one name that always stands out was "Awful" the bw.

My friend, who often played a squig herder named Digbir or a DoK named Astrytos led the guild and at some point, so did I. We had the best time. I am very sad to say that my dear and best friend Digbir/Astrytos/Kyle (in real life) lost a very tough battle with the dreaded cancer beast yesterday morning (April 5, 2017).

Warhammer had so many great memories and now I thank the RoR team for all they've done...I love this game. My dear friend did too, even though he was unble to play for a long time. It means alot to me to be able to play this game especially in the memory of my dear friend, Kyle.

(At one time I was "Splipgulp", the squig herder. I was also "Ronika" the T1 twink rune priest. I play many characters in game now)

I remember your character Splipgulp. I started in 2008 on Magnus server as well, but left when they shut it down. I had a Witch Elf named Nitedoll. I remember Awful as well. He was a nasty BW. My nemesis was Ail and Deterrence. Corky was a pretty mean White Lion as well.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I'm sure we must have been in a warband together at some point. Hope to see more old Magnus people around. I am very rusty trying to get back into this game. I send an advanced apology to everyone that has to put up with me for the time being.
