Error message when I start up

Hi, I am new to RoR and I have recently installed the launcher, though I get a strange error message when I launch the game, and I lose the ability to make any characters.


Data.myp:
System.Exception: You need to stop application currently using the following file: data.myp
at MYPHandler.MYPHandler.WriteFileToArchive(FileInArchive archFile, MemoryStream MS)
at MYPHandler.MYPHandler.ReplaceFile(FileInArchive archFile, FileStream newFile)
at RoRLauncher.Client.UpdateWarData()

Any help?

Try moving your game folder to somewhere else on the computer, then try again.

Tried that, still got the same error.

did you also start the launcher in this new folder? Did you physicaly move the folder or perhaps only made a link?

it looks some programm is using the .myp. did you download via torrent?
