Okay, so no offence to the RoR team because they really have done an amazing job with this private server but I know installing this game and the launcher etc can be quite difficult for some (including myself) and there are lots of ways that you could run into problems so I am going to simply tell you how to download everything you need for it to work first time, no black box on loading screen, errors etc...
0: I'm assuming you've made an account.
1: Install Utorrent and WinRAR. (don't worry there safe)
2: Go to the 'download game' or 'join us' tab at the top.
3: Go to step 4 and click 'torrent download', this will install the version of the game you need and will start installing with Utorrent.
4: Once the download is complete make a folder on your desktop or anywhere really and name is Warhammer Online, then you will want to find where Utorrent has downloaded your torrent too. Once you have found it highlight all the files inside the folder and drag them over to your new folder named Warhammer online.
5:Follow step 6 in installing directx runtimes, I'm not sure if this makes a difference but I did it and it works for me so
6: Go to step 7 and click on the launcher download to begin the download. Once this is complete you will need to find the where the file has been downloaded too and right click followed by extract files (this is why you needed WinRAR, it will ask you where you want to extract the files too and you will want to send it to your Warhammer Online folder with your game client you torrented.
7: Now this is where most people fail on such a simple mistake, once you have completed all the above steps right click on your Warhammer Online folder and go to properties and it should bring you to the general tab, at the bottom it will say read-only and it will be ticked, you will need to un-tick this and click apply.
8: Once you have done that you simply open up the launcher and you're good to go.
