Gathering skill horror show.

So about an hour ago i was skipping merrily around the apex pyramid in IC with my 40/51 blorc Kagaz waiting for the scs to pop when all of a sudden i noticed yellow words on my screen telling me i had just learned the cultivating gathering skill, this came as quite a horrific shock because i had already learned the SCAVENGING skill 2 years ago and was already at scavenging skill level 200, i had ACCIDENTLY clicked on the damn cultivator guy at the southwest of the apex pyramid whilst skipping!

With no gm available to help i simply resolved to relearn the scavenging skill and relevel, with the help of a countless number of dead bloodfiend marauders i was back up to skill level 151 within 20 minutes, i got a good bunch of gold and some good loot for the AH too, with the help of a countless number of dead dwarves and dead empire citizens at Duraz Deb i should be back up to 200 within hours so problem solved for me.

Q. Is it NOT the case that you HAVE to unlearn a skill with the .respec Gathering & .respec Crafting commands before you click on a skill guy to learn a skill to fill the skill gap vacated by the skill you just deleted? because i did NOT use those commands.

Q. Is what happened a game-breaking bug problem that can affect others?

I wouldnt count on that manticore, as they delberetly changed it away from respec to overide at the trainers. It was even in the change notes, if i remember right.

Read the Notes. They changed it long time agon, so that commands dont work.
Maybe the change was while you had a "break".
You simply respec profession with interacting with the proper Craftsmanship-Npc.

Okay so after approx. 2&1/2 hours i am back to scavenging skill level 200, it took the lives of many hundreds of stunties, barbarians and reikpeeps but it was worth it despite... the horror... #ResolvePeepsResolve

I think there is a Button in the "Text Window" when you click him, that button says continue.
I am not at home atm, therefore not sure, but there is something like a "safety step".
But I agree, a Yes/No function would save people more often from -> the obligatory "no I dont read this essay" just click the window away DOH my profession is gone
