SH sacrifices most of it's middle tree to be okay. In Squig Armor, they need to run Gas Squig. Assault Stance, like the other stances, do not require a pet to function. They are also able to use many other skills while in Assault stance, where Squig Armor removes all of their ranged abilities and gives them quite poor melee abilities.

For the bonuses you receive from Scout and Skirimish, the Squig Herder requires a pet to be active. To get extra range, it's a Melee pet which is very vulnerable, and it does a very short knockback, not a knockdown. SW have a very rare ranged knockdown available.

Your perspective is entirely from the point that Squig Herder is better than Shadow Warrior, while ignoring the benefits that Shadow Warrior has over Squig Herder. It is a bad argument. They have trade-offs for their abilities. You will not get a proposal passed in the balance forums by appealing to a mirrored class. You need to make a case why Shadow Warrior is not internally (its own abilities are bad)/externally (group function is bad) balanced.
