Error Starting - not a valid application for this OS platform

I get this suddenly. No changes made to the laptop since last login other than, possibly, automated system updates.

Error starting: System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005): The specified executable is not a valid application for this OS platform.
at System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithShellExecuteEx(ProcessStartInfo startInfo)
at RoRLauncher.Client.Handle(PacketIn packet)

I found a few old posts on the same thing, but no actual solution

RoRLauncher.exe is 20150225 00:18
It is in the game folder with its companion launcher files

Windows 10 Home 64bit

I notice that the RoRLauncher changes the old WAR.exe-file each time I run it, but that might be normal, I dont know. Never had the need to pay that close attention before

Any insights on this appreciated!

Edit: "Run as admin" had no effect on the issue

how to reinstall? because, i downloaded the full game folder, i don't make any installation
