[META] Will the Tank Stacking Meta ever be countered?

As we all know the current meta Destruction are running is to throw everybody into tank classes or DoKs then just sit back, relax and pop a morale 4. I was never around in WAR past 2010 so I'm unfamiliar if the meta ever shifted, even moreso because I played a tank myself. Perhaps from some people or even devs (balance preview) which highlights this?

Its bloody difficult to be a MDPS in this current meta.

To me, this was always an issue to this game. I'm talking about the fact that even tanks and healers can be really decent DPS classes, while still have the benefits of their own classes, making them a threat to the future of other DPS. Quite frankly, I think tanks and healers damage should be nerfed as hell. This "hybrid" class concept is nice but it really unbalance the game for pure DPS careers.

From what I've seen (and I played a whole lot) setups running more than 2 tanks are very rare, other than the occasional melee DoK (which is very strong) I hardly ever see any other dps healers. 3 dps is by far the most common deviation from the standard 2/2/2. Therefore I truly do shed a tear for all those poor dps whose jobs got stolen by the tanks and healers. Eh no rly lol.

If you're talking about the PuG meta then I can't help I am afraid, but it's probably going to be whichever characters need mercenary the most?

I'm not finding melee to be to bad atm, i'm doing quite well actually.

Thing is the lower armour is on other classes the better tanks are. as armour increases and tanks continue to lack the ability to bypass it effectively.

Name one hybrid class that is a more efficient use of a DPS slot than any DPS except Engineer/Magus.

The issue with is Order has had a meta of stacking RDPS for 8+ months and destro seemed to go to a tank meta to counter this.

But then OP is a guy who raged at his team in an SC earlier, calling them useless.

Its a little funny because as Destro we rue the fact that we have like no RDPS/Healer players. I assure you, this tank meta was not planned ahead, but a result of people thinking Chosen and Borcs are cool classes.

#shotsfired. Oh wait thats against me. I've played like 3 T4 scens today and won 2. I would remember what youre talking about except I havent ran into any of your characters today other than being afk outside the front of the AH. So I have no idea where youre getting that from.

This thread wasnt a whine thread. It was to open discussion on ways to counter heavily guarded and tank based teams. Stop looking for a fight.

Because the meta is 2/2/2 it couldn't be more fair archetype wise. If you're talking about rdps the meta is 1/3/2 and that's 3 spots for dps.
