I just made a black orc and started in the chaos area, is it worth using that book to go back to the greenskins starting area? Or will it affect anything?

Doesn't make a massive difference. You just get the Greenskin story by playing in that zone. People will commonly do the Chaos/Emp zone, there will be people on the first Public Quest. This may not be completable with 1 person doing the greenskin one.
