Obtaining Genesis Set pieces

So it's been a while now since you implented these sets and I think you should add an additonal option to obtain genesis accsesoires.
If you didn't activate your luck x5000 you will never get a piece neither will you ever get close to obtain the full set. First you need to be lucky to get on list then you need the luck to roll the exact number to get into the right place to get a purple bag and after you got one you will have to hope to not gain the same token again the next time you make it. So basically all the moons and stars have to be in line.

I would suggest to add a orvr token prices for every genesis token the merchant has. I don't care if it is incredibly high but to rely on luck can get very frustrating. This will also appeal orvr to player who need only sc emblems anyway that way they have something to fokus in orvr.

Since there aren't many options for accsesoires I think this change would be nice however if you think it should be a keep attack/defend only reward make it so that you gain a certain amount of minor tokens just for participation at an keep attack/defend that way you won't rely on luck anymore and can feel a progress towards your goal. How many keeps to gain one genesis token is up to you if you think it should be hard make it so if you think it should be casual to get it then so be it however a addition to luck would be beneficial.

Well as I said make it hard but don't make it only rely on luck. There are people with 4 pieces and there a a ton which never even gotten one piece. It's not hard it's just luck. It's like saying being a millionaire by winning in the lottery is a hard thing to do which it isn't is easy and all you need is luck. While being a millionare because you earned it by being clever, smart and actually do someting for it this is hard.

The carrot works terrificaly well on me . Anyways it would be great if they could be obtained for massive amounts of tokens or anything that takes really long to grind. I never liked the involvement of luck in obtaining items nor do I understand the necessity for it. It can be made extremely hard even without the randomness.

It's either 1 or 2/24 first then even if you get a purple bag, you have a % of it being a duplicate. So when you have 4 pieces and there's 50 people that take a keep you have roughly a 1/2x2/24x1/5 chance of getting the item you need. Which means you have about 0.008333% chance of getting the item you want when you take a keep. You liking your chances of completing that set guys? It should only take like 120 keep takes on average to get the last piece. That's actually not so bad as I thought it would be haha.

Yes but ppl isnt stupid and is not funny At all that you must get items in a lottery, and not based in ur efforts. For example i got my full stuff un my we and i dont feel any motivation getting genesis pieces. So that items need some other way to be obtained.

I think its not working, myself and friends who already got full annih+merc and influence weapons just gave up on purple bags, Ive farmed my annih without geting a single gold bag..I just dont have the time and luck for it.... they should change to something like:

1 pc of purple = 300 medalions.

if something like this is implemented, be sure rvr would have alot more action.

its alpha also..lol. witch elfs dont like RNG..

I think improving upon the contribution system would make this an whole different issue, I consider myself extremely lucky to have gotten 3/5 but I remember getting these during times where there was almost no competition on loot rolls, ie. definitely not peak times and on keep takes/defends where I had either just logged on or just came strolling into the rvr lakes. All the keep takes and/or defends where I felt I'd at least contributed a whole lot more have pretty much never gotten me a bag.

I think that if people are actually rewarded appropriate contribution for their effort in defending and taking keeps this issue where its just a lottery will become moot, if you add on to this the option to opt-out of gold and/or purple bags for the people who don't need it anymore it would become even more streamlined.

I dont think an alternate method of obtaining jewels is needed, some polishing of the current system would help it along a long way.

300 tokens = 1 piece is a fair price and rvr will be alive again. 1500 tokens are not easy to get.

The thing is even with a contribution system you still need luck to get the exact number for your purple bag I don't know why you implement something that just depends on your luck you don't have any influence on it.
To have +500 on your roll chances nothing if you roll good you win if you roll bad you lose. With 50 people rolling for it you will always have some people which roll 900+ and then win it.
Also the contribution system has to take care of so many thing in order to be usefull.
F.e.
Will taking bo's back weight more than semi afk in a aoe weapon before the keep or is building a tankwall less usefull then healing I mean the list is endless to decide what should get more contribution. Even then everyone who is activly doing something for attack/defend of the keep is important you can't really say: "Oh okay he was only securing the backdoor but since there wasn't a lot of people who wanted to get in he gets nothing" is that fair I think not. Besides players being afk at keep attacks every single one is important how do you make a fair contribution with that. I know there was one on live but it was just ridiculous you could go afk spamming leech heals and get first place.

I don't really think there is a way to make it work and even if they can do it think coding a perfect contribution system which then depends 2/3 by luck is wasted work when you could just do yourself a favor and make it fair for everyone by an a normal perticipation reward.
