Tank Meter in SC's to promote..... Tanks

Okay, I'm sure this has been made once, maybe twice, how about 356 times? Tanks have no incentive to guard someone they don't know/are partied with/don't like - why?
At the end of the SC, the healers get to say WOAH I did so well. DPS including slayers and Magus (their one time to shine) get to LOL at how they wrecked the show despite having 1-2 KB's haha. But still, they gauge performance off DB's and Damage, just like healers gauge healing by deaths and obviously healing numbers.
TANKS NEED AN SC STAT - need is a strong word but it is always fun to type in caps.
I am not the czar of all that is good and holy so I'm sure that there have been better suggestions and probably will be to this day, but I also get frustrated when I see tanks who are playing tanks that are supposed to tank or deal some decent damage/debuffs/buffs AND TANK who don't guard.
Lets just eliminate all L2P, get a group nub, search in LFG, you solo yolo'd so what do you expect, and so on comments b/c you are most likely a douche or a troll or both and if so I hope you enjoy that pug stompin or maybe you are one of those guys who "only does 6v6 bro" yet is nearly always in 500-0 pug matches while other premades are on. I digress....
So... there are some meh addons for guarding, just like assisting. But seeing how those two mechanics are the most important ones in the entire game when it comes to winning an SC, and to an extent RvR but this is about SC's.... I believe there should be a category allotted for tanks. They really need something to go on. The 6v6 guys usually say "I don't even look at the scoreboard bro" but shut up... the rest of us use it and other things to gauge performance other than obvious "win" or "lose"
There are a lot of other issues with the game being that T4 was just released and they will most likely take priority over a seemingly minor issue such as this.... however I beg a staff member to at least consider some possible way of detecting damage taken through guarding.
It does NOT have to be perfect. And at the least it would make the people who never receive guard shut up as they can rest at ease that the selfish jerk did not guard a single person the entire game. Being an optimistic individual I think it would allow tanks (every single tank i've ever spoken to in game/ts/vox/voip/sc chat/etc) has agreed on that it would be awesome to finally have a category of their own.
It could show a straight up number such as "damage intercepted" - this would show a basic number of damage that was bestowed upon them pre mitigation/parry to show that the tank had correctly guarded and at the least regardless of parry/block and what not TANKED damage... I leave any other possibilities up to those with a far greater imagination than myself.. but just like more people play destro tanks than order tanks because they looked/look worlds better than glitter fest fabbbbulusssssss Knights of the Blazin Fairy Land, I think more tanks would guard to get higher guard numbers. EVEN if they were just doing it for the scoreboard, like if they had no other intention other than to be number 1 on the scoreboard for guard... they would still be using guard... and tanking. As someone who has played every single healing class to 35 (not 40 yet) and every single healer in a dps spec on both order/destro, I fully appreciate 600 damage being changed to 300 damage over 2 targets as it makes a HoT twice as effective. Not that everyone is dumb... but few realize that. Something as simple as this would be extremely helpful and I see literally zero negatives for the amount of good it would do. I believe the dev team here could do this in a matter of minutes and be done with it. Maybe I have too much faith in them... but they are pretty smart guys and as far as "bang for your buck" goes in development. This is a very small thing that could do worlds of good for the SC community including PUG groups and Premades.
