Did they fix the bug that made me quit the retail version...

I loved WarHammer online. It had the most interesting classes of any mmo. Engineer is my favorite class of any MMO.

I played this game daily until one day....

The wall walking exploit.

It destroyed the whole game.

We would defend a keep with a small force only to have some cheats sneak around us, scale the wall/terrain and take the keep.

Please tell me this has/is being addressed.

Because if so, no they didnt fix the "bug" and probably never will.

If you refer to certain parts of terrain being exploited to get pass outer walls, thus bypassing postern. Yeah, they were fixed.

No it was not an ability. It was a game engine exploit. People figured out how to scale a wall or terrain. They simple walked up a wall and over it, or out of bounds terrain.

Great. Good news.

I don't have any info on how to do it. I just witnessed it and once learned it wasnt going to be addressed I left the game :(

There was some jumping trick on live where players could jump every Mountain.

But see it positive.
If you discover game breaking exploit.
Report it quitly to a GM and get a griffon mount. :)

I thing I know what you are talking about. The engine would always port you to the highest ground when some specific physics **** was going on. you could trigger this by jumping against keep walls in the right way.
This has been fixed long, long ago.

Well, you could also banner rez someone into the keep. Not sure if you will still be able to do that in RoR.

I believe the OP is referring to the old PRINT SCREEN exploit, where by spamming print screen you would lag your client out to the point where you could walk up terrain that would not normally be possible.

@OP: print screen exploiting did actually get fixed on Live. Mythic made it so taking a screenshot would not super lag your client out.
@OP#2: If you're referring to something else, and I've missed the point completely, I apologise.

It was fixed in T3 100% with simple solution. That "geometry bug" that Mythics couldn't fix for 5 years. Five years. 8-)
