Hi,
Firstly, I apologize if this is a dumb question or has been answered before.
I was reading some threads on witch hunter (viewtopic.php?f=75&t=11598) and I noticed in some of the builds they posted (e.g. http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=wh; ... :;0:0:0:0: ) they had points that went past the skills they were getting (1 point in path of judgement past pistol whip).
Is there any benefit to getting points in a tree past the skills/tactics you are picking up? Like is there some sort of passive attribute boost or boost to the skills from that tree?
Thanks,
Dozo

Re: Confusion about mastery points
Each level in the tree boosts the level of the skill, so more damage

Each level in the tree boosts the level of all the skills for that tree? Wow!

Re: Confusion about mastery points
Each of your core spells will gain one rank per level. They will be rank 40 when you are rank 40. Spells that belong in a path will only gain one rank every level that you do not gain a mastery point. Thus they will be rank 25 when you are rank 40. Each point you place in a path, will increase all abilities in that path by 1.
This attirbutes to more damage, or in some cases higher buffs/debuffs.
