should i pick Chosen as my main character??

hi, im veteran mmo player, i palyed many mmos wow,rift,aion,tera,elder scrolls online etc.. WoW as my main MMO i always play with Warrior Classes(mdps with heavy armor and survivability) and im PvP oriented, i just started playing Warhammer andd i want to play with Warrior like class im thinking about Chosen or Choppa, i prefer Chosen bcs they have badass gear but as far as i know they are more Tanky Classes and Debuffers(sword and shield). is it viable to go for 2handed chosen build
i think 2 handed Chosens can do well in group PvP with perosnal Healer but i want to know will i be able to 1v1 with other mdps classes like marauders,choppas,slayers etc..i dont want to get rekt in 1v1. i know that Choppas have Berserk Mode when they do 50% more dmg and take 50% more dmg doesnt it make Choppas very squishy?, what class should i pick? Chosen Choppa or something else? share ur thoughts and experience

Also, yeah, as a tank, you should have no problem taking out MDPS one on one.

A 2h Chosen can do considerable damage. Not as much as they used to since the Rending Blade and Ravage nerfs. But still considerable. For it to really work well you need to be decently high RR to get the RAs to make it work. 2h Chosen is largely about stacking crit. Which those RAs are expensive. Which, first, you should get your parry RAs so you don't just get beaten down. As a Dread Chosen, you're a glass cannon. Armor stat means very little in RvR. Just about every class either does magic damage or has attacks that completely ignore your armor stat. So you need that parry to keep people off you.

As fa as group PvP goes, 2h Chosen just piss off more people than it excites. Groups want a tanky Chosen to Guard and absorb damage while the real DPS classes do damage. A 2h Chosen can do good damage but it will never be a Choppa or Marauder. It's much more useful to have a Chosen guarding them to keep them alive and get more damage done. Not to mention a 2h Chosen makes the healers job more difficult because now he has a glass tank he has to worry about ontop of the DPS who are probably not being guarded now. Sure you could just take the 2h Chosen in place of another DPS and get another real tank. But why? It comes down to how much does the group leader value Crippling Strikes over having a Marauder? 80% of the time the answer is; they probably don't at all. A 2h Chosen will NEVER have a dedicated healer in a group. Or even in a zerg. Unless it's you and a buddy who just are running with the zerg. But in an actual WB group, it's not going to happen. If the healer in your WB group did nothing but focus heal on you and let everyone else die, he would be the worst healer of all time. Probably never be allowed in the WB ever again. 1 healer tagged on your ass isn't going to be enough out heal all the damage you will be taking in a zerg situation anyway, since you are 2h Dread spec and lack any real mitigation.

1v1 is where the 2h Chosen pretty much stays. Sure you will see them in a big zerg where group composition matters considerably less. But solo is where they shine. They do good damage with support auras. It's nice. But again, it's not really viable until mid-high RR ranges because you need those supporting RAs, like parry, and expensive boosting crit% RA.

tl;dr: 2h Chosen is viable. Mostly in solo and zerg. In group 6v6 situations chances are you won't be picked over a real mDPS like a Marauder. They want actual tanks.

Yes, Chosens can do well especially with personal(!) healer, but only if enemies do not have healers at all. So, you will be mostly successful at ganking but in the another aspects (especially sieges) you wouldn't be able to have good damage output.
Yes, Choppas/Slayers are veeeery squishy classes in solo play, but all good of them have their own support group (2 dps, 2 tanks, 2 healers). And with it they are dealing a tons of damage, especially slayers.
