Newbie Confused on Tiers

Hey there guys,

Just started up the other day, played the original but only up to mid 30's. Coming back I have forgotten almost everything about this game. After reading the forums im quite puzzled hearing people saying certain classes are good in T1 but not as good in T2 (something along those lines).

From my understanding T1-T4 was the pvp level range, so T1 would be lvl 1-10, T2 11-20, T3 21-30, T4 31-40.

Am I way off here or if this is the case am I just missing something fundamentally wrong with how the leveling system works? As I would think, there wouldn't be as much care for how a class functions in the lower levels and one would be more focused on how it is at max level.

Would be much appreciative if you guys could shed some light on this.

Almost correct, the level ranges were 1-11, 12-21, 22-31, 32-40 at launch of the game.

We're working with slightly altered ranges until T4 is released, right now it's T1: 1-13, T2: 14-26, T3: 27-35.
