[SH] RvR advice

Good day! It seems that i have trouble playing that class - either i die too quickly or mine output damage is too low, so im wondering what am i doing wrong? My build atm http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=sh; ... 505:5515:0: Gear is stalker set with talismans for wounds. As weapon - Shoota of Treachery/Impala` of Entropy. Typical rotation - fire all DOTs (Stop running, Rotten arrer, Explodin` arrer, Yer bleedin`!) and try to finish with run`n shoot and Not So Fast, while trying to run away. When i was playing on live i was SW and remeber that SH was always a tough class, but now on scenes when i see final damage output - SW makes SH like a child. So i think i definetely doing something wrong, thus any advice would be appreciated!

If you want to do well on the SH damage wise, you're gonna have to get BiS gear. At 35, better get a Boundless bow and get either 4 piece devastator w/ influence helm or 2 piece dev and 3 piece stalker.

waronlinebuilder.org - Squig Herder build

Your rotation should be Yer Bleedin, Rotten Arrer, Not So Fast, and then Run n' Shoot spam (Bring AP pots). Depending on the situation, you can use Explodin Arrer to bury your heal debuffs or to bury your snare from cleanses. Bws can also cleanse so it's nice to use Explodin Arrer on them and snare them to only have them cleanse the weak explodin arrer DoT.

Spike squig is your main dps squig but if you see WLs and WHs, it's sometimes better to play with your gas squig out just so you can survive against those two classes. ;)

bw is bright wizards

Bury means you want to put your heal debuff down and then stack other things on top of it or underneath it I forgot. Your ensuring that your heal debuff stays on their target for longer.

By burying your heal debuff your protecting it from it being cleansed immediately by a healer.

Aim Quick for Plink spam is great, however it required you to be stationary. A stationary squig herder basically has a flashing neon live-nudes sign pointing directly at him. In order to run that type of build, you need to keep yourself safe and "feel" or predict ahead of time when the perverbial "pocket is going to collapse" around you. You also need to remember to use all of you debuff and manage AP in that build. It's safer to run a skirmish building and constantly move, kite, and pre-kite. This will also allow you to run a but more glass cannonish, which is pretty much required to be effective. Look into running Glass Arrer with your skirmish build to help against rdps and pouncing lions. Squigs are squishy, and a little annoying, so order targets you often...especially dps AMs, WLs, and WHs.

For solo, use RUN AWAY tactic, 30 pts cleansing wind. i prefer shrapnel over behind ya, but its preference.

If you're in a group i might drop run away for bal tact and 10 pts cw instead of 30

Try to play to your advantage, all melee classes is piece of cake except WLs. RDPS is also fairly easy, except maybe AMs, but they can be countered with cw.
General strategy against rdps is to dot up and then try to hide behind cover while your dots/pets eat away at your target, when they panic you jump out and finish them with silence/disarm.

WH: If you know a WH is lurking nearby, activate disarm and disarm him when he pops on you, then he's dead since he has no way of slowing you.

AMs: use cw when you're at 60-50% hp, follow up with choking arrer and it should end in your favor.

BW: if you can, line of sight him and let pet/dots kill him.

slayer: kite/disarm

tanks: kite

SW: pray he don't know how to play or outgear him. otherwise you die(unless you have cw lvl 3 and he doesn't)

damage done is not a good measure for a SH since your job in a group setup is to assist another dps, provide a good heal debuf and annoy the other team. if you have good damage it probably means you don't have AP left when you need to burst(because you try to kill a player solo by spamming instead of assisting a sorc with his kills etc.)
You can move pretty freely as a squig since you're not high on killprio, use to your advantage.

Don't forget that you have KD in squig armor, good for disabling mdps on your healer etc.

Remember to dot up before you use m2 since it buffs the damage of your dots already present on the target.

It's a skill that works like a stance, with specific abilities that only work while in squig armor. mostly used for bounce(KD) and knockback(at 40)

pretty much yeah, if you're not within range try to time it with gcd so you are ready to bounce when you reach your target.
Bounce is better suited for defence due to the double gcd required for the KD, and knocking someone down is generally better than disarm/silence since it gives your friend some space between him and the attacker.

I like playing with a sorc when im on my squig, the two really complements each other. While the sorc does great stationary damage, im there to ensure the kill, bury his dots and cc etc.

Most fun i've had in this game is on my squig, running with a sorc and a zealot roaming rvr
