How exactly does the AP regen work? Will flat AP regen increase the amount of AP gained each tick, or will it affect the speed at which you get AP?
I've done some minor testing and it seems that AP on my gear gives me more AP per tick, while % regen seems to speed up the rate. Just want someone to confirm if it's true or not.
Regarding morale regen, I'm wondering what the base regen is, and how much you need for m1, m2, m3 and m4.

Re: [mechanics] Action point regen/morale regen
The morale bar is 3600 points.
You need 360, 720, 1800, and 3600 moral total for each level.
You generate 10 morale each second that you are in combat, base.
I forget what the base AP regen rate is, but you regen AP each second that you are not using/channeling an ability. There are buffs, usually from items, that increase the amount of AP regened with each tick (+X AP Per Second). There are other buffs, usually from abilities, that can speed up the regen rate (You regain AP X% faster).

iirc the base ap regen is 25/sec

Re: [mechanics] Action point regen/morale regen
You regen 25Ap every second you are out of global cooldown. Adding more ap/s jewels will make you get that much more ap out of gcd.

@Genisaurus
I'm assuming the morale gain is the same as in live. I'm in t3 now and it seems the morale gain is slower then I remember it. Could be because I was used to the racial renown tactic gain of morale. Does it go faster in t4? I didn't carry a lot of morale gain items in live. I straight don't know and am asking out of curiosity if you guys know for sure its the same. I could be 100% wrong in my thinking and willing to admit it.
Assuming everything is correct as live.
Morale gain
So... for in the past mixed groups can use their morale abilities as follows
Morale 1 36 sec's
Morale 2 1 min 12 secs
morale 3 3 min
morale 4 6 min
For racial groups with the racial renown tactic slotted for full groups
morale 1 36 x .75 = 27 sec
morale 2 72 x .75 = 54 sec
morale 3 180 x .75 = 135 sec = 2 min 15 sec
morale 4 360 x .75 = 270 sec = 4 min 30 sec
Interesting. So we were able to cycle Mountain spirit with the racial renown tactic in the dwarf groups but couldn't if you didn't have the racial renown tactic slotted without a 12 sec gap. This is the case with the greenskinz also right now. In addition Thousand eye's was never able to be cycled because its duration wasn't long enough to be cycled due to it being morale 4 ability. The best you could do was have Thousand eye's last for a full minute, which would give you 3 min 30 sec of dead time. OR alternatively have 5 dark rites DOK's in a grp for 100% upkeep. Thousand eye's was only 30 sec's which to its now gawd awful duration of 10 sec (mythic's doing).
Interesting so... Straight up for DE the HTL techniques are fundamental part of play.

Re: [mechanics] Action point regen/morale regen
The morale values quoted aren't the same as they were on live. On live, the m1 was available after 30 seconds and the m2 was available after 60 seconds. This was important on healers because, unless someone drained your morale, the m2 Focused Mind was always available at the end of the 1-minute cd of its previous use.Genisaurus wrote:The morale bar is 3600 points.

This video shows typical morale gain. A good example is the fight with the BW that starts at 00:24. The m1 is reached at 00:54. The video is running at real-time speed. That is, 1-sec in the vid is the same as 1-sec of game time.

Re: [mechanics] Action point regen/morale regen
I think it got faster with ranks.
I'm fairly sure you could get m1/m2 in 10/20seconds respectively in full WF.

I just really don't remember it being this slow.

Re: [mechanics] Action point regen/morale regen
It seems noticeably slower here, I dont have a video of it for proof but like Annaise stated healers could almost always get m2 every minute, assuming a full group
Not really a big deal since it happens to everyone (though cloth healers get screwed over more than others), but its definitely different. Unless being 80+ had some effect on it, but i didnt think levels factored into morale gain.

Re: [mechanics] Action point regen/morale regen
It could be a methodology issue. For their testing, the theorycrafters who came up with the 360 etc values used a healer morale proc tactic and an assumed natural rate of 10/s. They admitted that those were only their best estimates.Annaise16 wrote:Spoiler:
Equally, it is possible that the player in that video has some +morale gear. Apologies if they show their gear, it is not playing for me.
