Why so tediuos?

See that? My little play on words up there? Anyways.

Warhammer was always kind of tedious. Back on live, it started with rr60 and up, but until then, it was a blast. If you leveled through Scens or Open RVR you would be able to buy devastator once you reached its level.

Of course the original Warhammer Online needed these long hours of playtime at the end, because it was subscription based and all those top tier players needed something to do.

Now RoR on the other hand is free to play, which I greatly appreaciate. It's the same game I loved back then, for the most parts.

But that game is 8 years old, so it stands to reason that everyone who played it back then is now 8 years older and probably has a job, children maybe. Responsibilities, is what I'm saying. I maybe get to play 2 or 3 times a week, for a few hours, and I'm willing to believe that I'm not alone with this.

It's really hard for me to play this game, the progress is just so slow that, whenever I feel I'm getting close to reaching a goal, say level 32, some patch comes and raises the bar off into the distance. And I can't help but wonder why.

You don't have to keep people playing, you gain no money from it, so why put us though this tedius grind, where (as it currently stands) I have to do open and scens exclusivly in Empire t2 for days, because I don't have enough gold to travel to the other locations. Where I maybe gain 1 or 2 levels a session because the kill quests award so little. Why does it have to take so long to get full gear once level 32? Nobody gains anything. We don't play RoR for the grind, we play it because we love Warhammer RvR and PvP.

All I'm saying is: please let me play with you guys, even though I don't have much time. At least tell me what goal you try to reach by making it difficult for us to have fun. Is it because you hate me? Please don't hate me.

Thank you.

meh, xp gain is very fast, plus low tiers are also fun. and giving ppl a shortcut, even tho only some would take it, would hurt population in the lake and sc pops for the others

This tired old argument again. MMOs reward you for your time. If you do not or cannot put a good amount of time into it, you should not expect to be rewarded.

As for this I kindof agree they nerfed gold gains a bit hard, which is really harsh on people completely new. You can still run around turning in breadcrumb quests that reward 25s each.

Well they do that because that is their business model. More time spent is more money made, thus they reward spending time. Just because it has been that way doesn't make it right.

I will concede that the XP range is probably alright. And leveling through the low tiers is certainly fun, but having a well equipped team and fighting other well equipped teams was also very fun, and that part seems unreachable to me right now.

I'm not asking anyone to hand me my level 32 full equiped char, but please make it a humane amount of work, similar to as it was live. There is no point in making it more tedious for everyone of us. Don't reward us for grinding our time away, just let us have fun together.

Literally took me and Sek 2hrs to go 32-35. Not tedious at all.

"because I don't have enough gold to travel to the other locations."

IS IT ME OR ARE THE PLAYERS AND THE ADMINS DRIFTING FURTHER AND FURTHER APART?

If you don't play WAR because you love to beat other players up, then you are doing it wrong anyway. :)

Maybe they could buff the rewards for kill-quests from the keep-lords a bit, to help the orvr-players. When you play scenarios it isn´t a problem to gain gold, even with lower rewards from kill-quests.

I propose a change that both kill-quests in war-camp give 5silver less and the kill-quest from keep-lord give 10silver more. This would also be a reward for keep-def.

Well, between being a full time engineering student and having a part time job I have gotten 3 characters(almost a 4th now) to level 32 and atleast one is 40 RR since I learned about the server on January 5th. Its definitley NOT that often level cap is raised.

The leveling takes slightly longer than it did on live since there are no exp scrolls, but it really doesn't take that long. If you still don't have enough time, maybe you should make more time or re-evaluate your leveling strategy. Like, the only way it could be easier is if they just gave you levels for free(rested exp).
